Totally agree… I think 4th Quarter of this year they will be everywhere. I know our agency is starting to use them on ads, putting them next to phone numbers etc. I think its time brands start considering mulit-screen strategy!
Is it just me or is this just a digital software store?

The 800 million number could reflect Groupon Revenue after partnership payoffs. Essentially this would mean that Groupon would have really have a revenue rate at 1.28 Billon on the site. These aren’t numbers to sneeze at but they do raise more questions…
1. Does the data really suggest that Run Rates are going to continue or are they at peak? Hard to say without detailed info but with the number of businesses being shut down and satisfaction numbers suggest they are at peak.
2. Is 6.6 times Gross revenue a reasonable offer? If you are taking a favorable view of the growth rates and say they are going to continue than walking away from the deal makes sense. If you are reading the data and see it as potential peak number then the sell is a steal…
Walking away from the Google offer means leaving money on the table. Groupon placed a bet (a large bet) on their team and product. Time will tell if it was smart.
That is amazing… 300,000 devices every day. I have said it before I will say it again…
- If you dont have a mobile strategy and you own a business get one…
- If you have an iphone and you dont have a android app what are you doing?
That is all.
This is a very interesting infographic…
I wonder if there is a further trickle down effect to educational institutions. As the web gets more interactive including the growth of video content it seems like its just a matter of time before online degrees mean something. I personally get more out of online classes especially when there are lectures to “attend” via webinar/ itunes. I think sitting in a classroom is a little outmoded, however I think face to face networking courses will need to be added. (They probably should be added now anyway.) Interpersonal skills still matter and those are skills that need to be cultivated.

The lack of experience amongst marketers in the Social Space is shocking… there should be another category for one of these bars “I have been doing this since I was in high school!”
If someone isn’t using the tools personally (even on a small scale); I have significant doubts that they would be able to deal with several thousand people from a brand perspective.
