Great Article, so many in the USA profess to be Christians and yet are so clearly not. Being a christian is about your position in relation to Jesus, its not cultural, its not a thing you do, its not a family linage.
The key questions:
- Does Jesus have the ultimate authority in your life?
- Did he die on the cross for your sins?
- Was he in fact God on earth?
That last one is a sticking point, it’s who Jesus said he was. If he wasn’t God on earth Jesus was crazy or evil. - We could get into historical reasons why we know he said its who he said it was (within a percentage of certainty nearly matching Lincoln giving the Gettysburg Address) but that is a different post.
