This is big news that was buried in the iphone junk news of the day.
This is turning into a more robust API than I was anticipating. It looks like Google+ might break the box with the API as well.
Probably a much more significant announcement than the Apple one.

AT&T

AT&T Exec: We’re Not Concerned About a Verizon iPhone

Really? You rank after MetroPCS in Customer Satisfaction and you aren’t worried..

Really?

Oh an regarding the line about it being a data issue… my coverage in LA was terrible a full 2 years before the iPhone explain that…

This is where a PR person is probably not the right person… AT&T should be on their hands and knees apologizing to their customer base letting them know how they will get better.

Android is legit… if you aren’t planning on both an iphone app and an android app avoiding 50% of a market better be strategy.
I have an Android and I have used an iphone… I prefer the interface of android! I Didn’t really like the iphone actually.
Hint Hint Starbucks… Add an android app!

What Jonathan said… They tell a story, its funny and highlights a feature as a benefit. Windows has been hyping the simple but they have been selling a feature… this is selling the benefit. The placement on castle for the Windows 7 phone was as close to benefit as they get.

Take away: What are your Features how can you explain them as a benefit?

jonathanbarbone:

If you get a chance, watch them all. This is a genius way of advertising through youtube.

iPhone Versus Android: Nielsen Delivers the Numbers [STATS]
This is very interesting… iphone still is the a major player in smart phones based on marketshare according to Nielson.
The iphone should start to see major growth as it branches out to other carriers.
My advice: If you have AT&T shares I would sell them now… A lot of this iphone market share will be switching networks as soon as they can.
